DISTRICT NEWS

We look forward to welcoming our students back to school tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 21! All schools will operate on the normal schedule. City and County officials report the situation at Oroville Dam is stabilized and poses no imminent threat to our community or our schools. Levees are continuing to be monitored 24 hours a day and also do not pose a threat. As always, we will continue to monitor this situation and report any changes to our school families. We are eager to have our students back in their classrooms… see you tomorrow!
We’re getting a number of questions and social media comments about our district’s evacuation plan. It’s important to remember that there is a plan for each school, and for each situation that could cause flooding in our community. No district with multiple locations and with a variety of possible sources of a flood can afford to have one, static plan. Click on the read more button for the full statement.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT CONTINUANCE OF REGULAR FEBRUARY 14, 2017 MEETING The regular meeting of the Board of Education could not be held based on the circumstances occasioned by evacuation orders related to the emergency at the Oroville Dam. Consequently, the Clerk of the Board has determined that the duly noticed regular meeting of the Board shall be continued to February 21, 2017 as set forth in this Notice. (Govt. Code section 554955, 54955.1) To view the Tuesday, February 21, 2017 YCUSD Governing Board meeting agenda, please click on the below link: http://www.ycusd.k12.ca.us/agendas

ATTENTION STUDENTS:
Your attendance at school matters. For a student to learn and ultimately be successful, you have to be here at school. Learning is a progressive activity where each day's lessons build upon those of the previous day. Students who miss too much school fall behind and have a hard time catching up. Good attendance builds habits, essential for success in school and life. YOU
matter to us so please help us help you; come to school

PARENTS:
Please be aware that all absences must be cleared within 72 hours.  Help us help your student.  Thank you.
